Areas of Specialty

  • I offer culturally responsive therapy for immigrants, children of immigrants, and refugees and asylees experiencing acculturative stress. This includes:

    • adapting to a new country and/or culture

    • immigration-related grief and loss

    • parent-child role changes

    • mixed-status households

    • navigating bicultural identities

    • switching between cultural contexts

    • navigating multiple cultural expectations at home, school, and work.

  • I provide culturally responsive therapy for individuals navigating the psychological impact of discrimination and systemic oppression related to identities such as: gender identities, sexual orientations, race, ethnicity, immigrant status, castes, faiths, ability statuses, body sizes, and socioeconomic statuses.

    Additionally, I prioritize the psychological impacts of identity, visibility, and lived experience—how the world sees you and how you move through it. This work often includes:

    • navigating familial expectations

    • exploring romantic, intimate, and partnership dynamics

    • understanding the mental health impact of societal, cultural, and gendered norms

    • unpacking internalized beliefs shaped by culture, family systems, and oppression

    • strengthening boundaries, self worth, and authenticity in relationships

    • supporting clients in aligning values, identity, and life choices

  • I provide mental health therapy for college students and graduate students navigating the emotional and developmental challenges of young adulthood. Areas of focus includes:

    • academic pressure & rigor

    • career uncertainty

    • navigating external and internal expectations

    • family, relationship & friendship concerns

    • identity development

  • I have completed specialized training through Postpartum Support International (PSI) and provide perinatal and reproductive mental health therapy for birthing and non-birthing parents. This includes:

    • hopes to become a parent

    • fertility concerns

    • pregnancy after loss

    • adoption support

    • perinatal mood and anxiety disorder (PMADs)

    • pregnancy termination (medical or voluntary)

    • adjustment to parenthood

    • partner communication around parenting and family goals
